Dr. Sorek studied at McGill University where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology in 1999. He then conducted research in dental science to study the maturation process of dental tissue. Following this research, he undertook studies in dental medicine at McGill University where he obtained his PhD in 2007.
After completing his doctorate, Dr. Sorek was selected in 2008 to do a Multidisciplinary Residency at Notre-Dame Hospital and the University of Montreal where he was able to further his knowledge in oral surgery and pathology, root canals, and other disciplines.
Dr. Sorek has also had the privilege of practicing dentistry in Aboriginal communities in Northern Quebec and Nunavut. Dr. Sorek is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the Alpha Omega Dental Society, the Canadian Dental Association, the Ordre des Dentistes du Québec and the Association des chirurgiens-dentistes du Québec. He is also a mentor to 3rd and 4th year students in the Faculty of Dentistry at McGill University.
